Liu Xiang，China's top hurdler，announced to hang up his boots on April 7, 2015 due to his injury and the long absence from competition. Liu first made it to the world stage in 2001 by winning the 110-meter hurdles at the East Asian Games and World University Games. To our pride, Liu Xiang tied the 12.91 seconds to claim the gold medal at the 2004 Athens Olympics and broke the world record for men’s 110-meter hurdles in 2006.
